You can download the Virgilius package directly. However you are advised to install Virgilius through the repository so updates are managed automatically.

These instructions are for Ubuntu Hardy but should apply to any, if not most, versions of Ubuntu. See manual instructions for any other Debian based Linux distribution
Goto: System - Administration - Synaptic Package Manager (Enter your password)
In Synaptic go to: Settings - Repositories Click on the Third-Party Software tab, click on Add:
Enter the following line:
deb http://repos.retypingdante.com/deb/ stable/
Click “Add Source”
Go to the “Authentication” tab.
Download this Safety Key. And import this using the “Import Key File”.
Close the Repository Settings window.
In Synpatic search for 'virgilius' and install it like any other package.
After installation you can start Virgilius throug the menu: Applications - Internet - Virgilius An icon of Virgilius is shown in the notification area.
Add to /etc/apt/sources.list:

Pulic key for the repository:
wget http://repos.retypingdante.com/deb/inferno-safety.key sudo apt-key add inferno-safety.key
Check if the key has been added:

Install Virgilius:
sudo apt-get install virgilius
